Capim Grosso Mining Camp

Bahia, Brazil

Strategic Location in Brazil

Capim Grosso is situated in the Bahia province, 280km from the port of Salvador, and 166km from Feira de Santana, the province's second largest city.

Grid power and water are available throughout the area and paved roads connect it to the capital and surrounding cities and ports.

The asset was acquired in 2021 in a competitive bid amongst some of the largest Graphite miners in the world.

Gratomic prevailed and has rapidly advanced to a maiden resource on the project.

To date the company has only drilled about 10% of the ore horizons and intends to do a further 50 km of drilling on the properties.

Mineral Rights

Jacobina: Two active permits: 870162/2019 and 870163/2019 with a total of 1,989.6 ha

Gratomic has a total of 11 mineral rights for graphite within its Capim Grosso Project.

Resource Details

The Capim Grosso Mine Camp consists of 7 main mineralized horizons. In its infancy Gratomic drilled the first of these horizons (6km strike length) and presented a maiden resource under the inferred category of 7,965,211 tonnes at a grade of 5.86% TGC for a total of 466,670 tonnes of contained graphite.*

Gratomic is planning further drilling and exploration activity to drill out the remaining strike length of the first ore horizon. A conceptual exploration target has identified between 5 million and 30 million tons with an average grade of 5.85% TGC for between 300,000 and 1,750,000 tons of graphite.

*As reported on Feb 16-21: Technical Report and Maiden Resource Estimate on The Capim Grosso Graphite Project, Brazil dated August 14, 2023 with an effective date of July 16, 2023 and as a mineral resource in effective date of July 16, 2023 pursuant to NI 43-101. See Note below.

Capim Grosso Metallurgy

Preliminary engineering has demonstrated that Capim Grosso can deliver similar results deploying the same circuit as designed and built on Aukam.

A detailed comparative cost analysis using head grade, proximity to port and taking what we have learned in Namibia has indicated that Capim Grosso can deliver product within the lower quartile cost curve.

Particle size distribution in the deposit makes it ideal for battery applications, which is the company's primary focus and market.

By replicating the Aukam graphite circuit, Gratomic is able to achieve near-identical results within the Capim Grosso Mining Camp. This positively impacts mine to market and demonstrates material cost savings.
